Black Dolphin Stout, a staple in our barrel aging program, was released 4 times in 22oz bottles, between 2014 and 2017. Black Dolphin Stout spends between 6-12 months in barrels, imparting a bold, rich flavor that is unique from batch to batch. The name "Black Dolphin" comes from the world's most severe maximum security prison, located in Russia. Starting in 2019, Black Dolphin Stout was moved to 12oz bottles, with the type of barrels used rotating year to year including Port Barrel (2019), Bourbon (2020 and 2021), and Rum Barrels (2020).
